Join Melbourne FrontRunners and The Running Room for an interactive strength and conditioning workshop designed specifically for runners who want to stay healthy, perform better, and train smarter.
This workshop will explore the key principles behind running-specific strength training, injury prevention, load management, and performance development through a combination of practical exercises, live demonstrations, and evidence-informed education.
The session will also include a live running assessment on our Zebris instrumented treadmill, giving participants an inside look at how we assess running mechanics, loading patterns, and movement strategies in the clinic environment.
You’ll learn:
What runners should actually be doing in the gym
Common strength training mistakes that contribute to injury
How to build strength that transfers to running performance
Strategies to improve durability, efficiency, and long-term consistency
How running gait analysis can help guide training and rehabilitation
Expect a highly practical session with movement and exercise components throughout, so please wear comfortable clothing suitable for training.
Whether you’re training for your first event or chasing a new PB, this workshop will give you a clearer understanding of how to use strength training and performance testing to become a stronger, more resilient runner
