Alex Bell

Physiotherapist & Director, The Running Room

Alex is a Sydney-based physiotherapist and the founder of The Running Room concept, bringing together physiotherapy and biomechanics technology to help active people move and perform better. He has been treating patients since 2017 and is passionate about combining evidence-based physiotherapy with the kind of movement analysis tools traditionally reserved for elite athletes.

Alex uses instrumented treadmill analysis, 2D motion capture, and force plate data as a core part of his assessment process, allowing him to accurately identify how running and multidirectional movement affect each patient's body. This objective, data-driven approach helps reduce injury risk and improve performance, whether you're training for your first fun run or chasing a personal best.

Since 2019, Alex has also directed The Running Room Technologies, working to bring research-grade movement analysis out of elite sport and into everyday clinical practice. He is also a co-founder of Biomechanix.
